John: I'd own your old car in a heart beat. My T-28 GST BEAT your car on pump gas with stock fuel support.
Tim: Thanks
Our DPs have a 2 1/2" stainless steel first bend with a 2 1/2" stainless steel flex section. They then expand to 3"# right after the flex section right under the oil pan area. Why start out at 2 1/2"? If you are running on the stock O2 sensor housing, even ported it is 2 1/2" inside diameter. When the exhaust gasses are hot, they flow better, 2 1/2" is plenty for the first 12". As the gasses cool , bigger helps. By going to 3" after the flex section, we allow this expansion and also allow for better clearance at the front where room is tight. From there they are a full 3" back to the Apex 3" flange with 14 gauge aluminized steel piping. We had some Apexi flanges laser cut# out of thick 1/2" steel for a good seal and fit.#
*sigh* first off it was a 57 trim and second the combo was not even a week old when we screwed around (raced). if youll remember correctly i couldnt get the thing to run on pump gas cause i couldnt get under 18 psi. how come your able to brag when your car ran 13.7 and my car ran 12.6? im a full sec faster and your car can beat mine? please explain. your combo is very similar too. is it that you have no idea how to tune? lets hear your explanation. and please ryan, no race gas excuses. thats as bad as saying nitrous is cheating.sp00ln said:John. My T28 lit your 54trim up TWICE. Once by Randys house and once on the freeway on the way to sacramento for the sacramento meet! Josh... you were there
Hi from Japan btw.
" at the end. I think if you build your motor to take it, it is just like adding a turbo kit or supercharger on a N/A motor.adding a turbo to my na was dumb...but it did like the nitrous!!!Libila said:I was kidding Josh, that's why I put the "" at the end. hey im interested in a head...ill get back to ya on thursday...Stock Josh said:Anybody want a 1st gen cylinder head? 2g guys? 1g guys? You could get this one built while you drive around on your stocker. I have 4. I'll sell them for $75 each.
I also have two 7 bolt 1st gen bottom ends. Complete, block, crank, rods, pistons, oil pans. $120 each. Both these bottom ends ran before they were yanked (if that mattered to you).
I also have the 6 bolt block from my 90 AWD car. It is the 6 bolt block plus crank. I'll sell that for $100.
peregrine said:haha. when i ran 13.2@101 i was only unning 18 psi on the STOCK turbo. this shoudlnt be new to you as ive known you at leat two years. i was running 12s the first 2 months i had my awd as i got all my experience with my front drive. if you would LISTEN to what josh and i tell you youd be there too. but you choose to be stubborn and do it the hard way. theres something honorable in that but its still a waste of time. i wont bicker anymore with you on the internet ryan as i know your persona on here is different than in person. your a decent guy, just spoiled. have fun with the japanese and i might hit you up for some parts.
