Ill drive the 95 until the snow is gone, and then hopefully swap the transmissions if i can find someone with a lift. The sell the 95 with the tranny from this car. Hopefully i can put it in front of that car stereo place where they overprice dsm's, and sell it to a rich spoiled kid for 4k.

I hope this car is better to me than the 2ga, i dumped way too much money into that car for only having it a year.
 
Nice car man,,,, listen if it is a 6bolt block with 2g head i was wondering if you can cheak something for me...i have the SAME setup, Does it have the STOCK OIL COOLER ON IT?? If so Where do the lines go, because on my setup (i didnt do the swap) The oil cooelr is bypassed because On a 2g block it feeds coolant from the block i believe and now with the 6bolt i dont have a coolant source to run to the oil cooler i have one source on the WATER pipe but i need another cooland source, im just about to tap my thermostat housing and use a barbed fitting.
 
hey guys whats up. its a cheap deal. i know the previous owner of the car and i have taken a few rides in it and its fast but it needs a serious tune. the car was originally white and then painted red, that also needs to be cleaned up but the engine problem i dont know. if you have time for a project car like that u would say its a good deal. he just installed a new clutch and bc 272 cams. it has more in it than that 11.9 time on pump gas.

Huh, i was under the impression that it had a pretty decent tune, maybe not perfect, but not bad. I found a couple .dat files on here that looked good as far as i could tell, and others that commented on them said it was a good tune. I'm happy it comes with the link. I can't wait to upgrade to v3 and get a gm-maf for this beast. I know the injectors are at 90% IDC (fic 850s) and the 255 is not rewired. I wonder how much more this GT30r has?

What needs to be cleaned up about the paint? It looks like they painted the engine bay pretty well.
 
This is my old car. Grant, I've pm'd you!!!! Give me a call and we can discuss further. The car has had the faint tapping sound since I've got it. It's the lifters. The car runs strong as hell. Yes, it's a bolt on 30r from slowboy but the car makes pretty good power. Definatly has more in it with some fine tuning and more boost.
 
Me and my brother are going to leave today (monday) at 10pm and drive through the night, alternating while the other sleeps. We will be there by noon and get all the paperwork done and be out the door by 2pm. Then drive straight through on the way back. I should get back home at about 3am on wednesday.
 
ok guys so im looking at this 99 GST its manual and it has 87,XXX miles
money is not the issue, but i want to see that with the mods he says it has if it is worth buying.

he claims his GST can do a 12 sec 1/4 mile on street tires, not really sure if i believe that, but i dont care i just like the car in general and want to buy my first actual DSM since im sick of the 420A motor, not anything against it or anything i just want an actual DSM.
he's asking $5000 if anyone is wondering.

any questions i should ask him before buying the car?
i feel like i should ask which 16G turbo he upgraded to, (s16G, b16G, evo III 16G)

hows the body looking? i would say if the body is in great shape then yes deff worth it, have u drove it does it have any problems shifting 1st 2nd ect, and what injectors? and yeah deff ask what 16b and deff check for shaft play, in my opinion yeah worth buying that low of mileage and if its it great shape, other then that man it comes down to its your money and if u really want it
 
yeah the body is in great condition, recent black paint job, no rust. i havent driven the car because it is about 9 hours away and i am going to drive down there, just wanted to know what to look for when test driving it and checking it out. thanks for all the help you guys.
if the car is on stock injectors, is that bad?
which injectors should i be looking for?
 
a 255fp with no afpr, stock injectors, a "big" bov prob vented, no tuning device, what clutch? That is not a 12sec car. I would be weary of it.
 
he states it has an ACT clutch but doesnt give the exact one, i'll ask him that too
i dont really care what it gets on the 1/4 mile, i'll find that out when spring comes but if its anything in the 12's i'll be good with that.
 
Yeah it don't matter if its in the 12's but he should of upgraded the injectors and got dsmlink or even a safc to tune with and a fpr.Not sure if he ever has been in a nicely tuned 16g cause then he would see its probably running crappy.compared to a tuned one with a fpr and some injectors.If you get the car make sure you point that out to him.Your going to need to put a little bit of money into it to make the set up they way its suppose to be.So tell him that and give him a offer a little lower then what he's asking so you have a little bit to play with.
 
I would say its worth it. It books for more than 5000 im pretty sure. I'd try to find out how he is compensating for fuel with the 16g and 255lph and venting.

And if he has some kind of fuel management, find out if he had it tuned.

+2 man. HE attempted to fix a bunch of shifting problems because he changed the tob, slave and master, clutch ect. Make sure it shifts very smoothly. It might only shift smooth when cold and when it warms up it might feel like crap. New paint, be weary again. WHy did he paint it. Accident is probable. His mods don't appear to be done correctly at all and even my gsx with the mods he has done would be really hard to run 12's. Come on 14 psi with no piggyback or afpr with a 255. If the car checks out fine with no accidents and the compression is good and it shifts good, offer him 3800 dollars and go from there up to no more than 5k. Thats my opinion?? Oh, is it clean title??? Good luck and don't get screwed like I have in the past.
 
cool thanks man, he gave me the vin # with no hesitation so i dont think he is trying to hide anything, but yeah i just need to get a carfax report on it, but then if anything happened to the car and he fixed it himself and no file was reported, it wont show up on the report, but yeah maybe i'll low ball him first and then work my way up, but i think if he wont go under 4500 i'll just let it go and keep looking,

It looks pretty clean. Get some type of tuning device so you can squeeze some more power out of it. Also get some better tires, not to mention those rs wheels really make the car look cheap, change them asap.
 
yeah i know, i got some 18 inch RIAX 10 spoke black chrome lip rims wrapped in yoko's that i kept from my 99 420A eclipse so if i get this eclipse i'll def be switching them and probably sell the rs wheels to get some more cash to get DSM link, a fuel management device, bigger injectors, NGR type-S blow off valve and maybe a FMIC
 
Hi im about to get a GSX with a 2.3L Stroker Motor and i want to make sure it truely has a 2.3L Stroker in it. What could i look for that could tell me it has one in it in case he dose'nt have the paper work on it and could just say its a 2.3L Stroker to get more $'s for it.

I search eclipse and stroker on youtube and when there running there alot louder then stock motors but is there any thing else i could look for to make sure its a stroke?

The car needs a new transmission on it so im getting a good deal only if its a stroker
