get them both for 2000!!!!!! thats a friggin deal!

LOL if i had the space and money i probably would buy both of them, but i can only get one. Really i guess im wandering which would suit me better until i do a turbo upgrade in a loooooong time. After calculating out the costs and everything to get both pf them nice and running it appears i would have around 800 bucks extra to spend on the first one. So it would either be something like the 14b car with full turboback, guages, FMIC, MBC, and coilovers or the 16g car stock but nice and painted.

Buy the $700 car.........it's Supposedly got a rebuilt motor....you'd spend minimal to get it road worthy. Besides.....it's only 700 dollars.

Here's the ad "1996 Eagle Talon TSI Hatchback, turbo, all-wheel-drive, 69,000 miles, 5-speed manual transmission, 2-owner car, red w/dark gray leather interior, sunroof, power seat, new inspection, new performance clutch and flywheel, cat-back exhaust with HKS muffler, Injen intake, blow off valve, K&N air filter, interior a-pillar gauges, some other modifications, excellent condition inside and out, adult owned and not abused, paint is shiny and nice with no rust."

The guy wants $5400 for it and the interior, exterior, and engine bay of the car looks great from the pics. I'm going to check it out as soon as he gets back to me.

Hello respected DSMtuners society.

I am looking for some help here. I am looking at a 1g 91 talon AWD with a built motor in it. Below, I will copy his post on different local forums. In a PM, he said that it burns a quart every 1500 miles, but he claimed "isn't very uncommon for a rebuilt engine running more boost."

He also posts legit dyno sheets. The car is very clean.

What do you guys think? Worth it? Not?
Any advice I'd greatly appreciate. Thanks.

This car has been my daily driver since about this time last year, It was stored all winter long and never saw salt.

I am the third owner of the car, the previous owner had owned it for 9 years, he also stored it during the winter time for the last 4-5 winters he owned the car.

Basically the reason I'm selling it is, I'm sick of my Dad and want to move out and need the money. I will be going to school full time in the fall as well as working full time. I really don't want his finacial support anymore which means this car obviously has to go.

1997 eclipse gs-t

black, clean and all stock

asking price.... 3,500

i havent looked at it in person yet but i plan on it... i just don't want to waste my time driving to go look at it and see something wrong if i could just hear it from you

oh. and im pretty sure the clutch has not been replaced

Well I spent 5000 for mine and mine had 19000 more miles. Guy I bought mine off of swore he didn't beat on it and had a maintenance record since the car was new. Seems like a good deal. I replaced my clutch and flywheel on mine and well its run good. I would go and check it out start it up and find out if it has any mods that you would need to know of. Make sure and take if for a test drive and make sure that things run right (not burning oil or anti-freeze). Other than that I would say at least check it out.

how much was it to replace the clutch???... my friend was telling me that it'll be around 2 grand...

wow 2 grand no i paid someone 400 to do it and well if i had the know how like I do now I would of tried the job myself.

1996 Eagle Talon TSI Turbo AWD - EXCELLENT!

The guy bought this car off of his nephew with a spun rod brearing long ago. He put a new engine in it with supposedly 45k on it. He cant remember all the mods done to the car and neither can his nephew because it was long ago, and his nephew moved outta state. How can I tell if that engine really did have 45k on it? He wants 5400 for it. The body only has 69k on it! I'm running a carfax when I get home, so..........More pics attached.

Looked at a 96 AWD TSI today............nicest looking dsm I've seen....inside and out. The engine was a little oily but..........I'm working on that.

The guys nephew who owned the car spun a rod bearing and the car sat for about 2-3 years in his garage. the guys uncle bought the car and he dropped a junkyard engine in it with supposedly 45k on it at the end of 07.

Since the swap the speedometer and odometer and tripodometer don't work. What do you guys think of buying a car like this? The odometer broke at 69k and this is not the guys daily driver. He has 6 cars.....4 or which are insured.....the talon is not.

He said he only drove it to work a few times and up and down 43 to reset the battery for emmisions. The car looks pretty damn good and doesn't look to have more than 75k on it. He's asking 5400 for it and that includes the original engine with spun rod bearing and everything else stock from the car.

Here is a link and a copy of the carfax...don't know if the link will work
