Ok here is the deal...93 or 94(not exactly sure although I should be) five speed awd talon tsi sunroof and leather car(not in real good shape as far as the leather is concerned) 125,000 miles....IDLEING PROBLEM but thats it still runs and drives good, no grinds, bone stock never been messed with...When I popped the hood...no leaks, drips or anything like that,really nice actually... BUT remember that idleing problem? well the sensor that plugs into the throttle body at sort of an angle, Im assuming tps is unplugged and the sensors metal tabs are crushed....upper timing belt cover has been removed I guess to check timing belt condition cause the owner said he has tried alot of things to figure out why it wont idle...were not talking erratic idle just wants to die...gotta keep it alive..........but anyway he said he has 1500 in it and thats what he wants so I figure 1200 is a good deal being that it has the idleing problem what do you guys think.....oh yeah and minimal rust....OPINIONS NEEDED I already have a 91 auto that looks dam good and runs equally as well but compression readouts are 130,125,125,121 so Im gonna need to rebuild it or by this one and make it my track car....

Ive seen this car in person. Its a clean nice car. Ill give it that. She says theres 4500.00 in upgrades. I only see about 2000.00 in upgrades. Unless shes charging you for the labor to. It has a crappy Apexi BOV. Loud as hell and not recirculated. Car seemed to run OK. I definately think the price is inflated. I offered them 8000.00 cash that I had on me and they said no. by the way this car has been for sale for more than 6 months on Autotrader with no buyers. Thats got to tell you something right there. If it was a fair deal it would be gone by now.

I would be patient and wait for the right car at the right price. Thats my opinion.

I would offer 3-4K for that GSX, could be numerous things, blown motor being one...

However it is also a very rare and very sought after color. I would look more into figuring out what is wrong, has a compression test been done, maintenance work?

the front of the car has some rock chips, and the lower front valance is cracked (see pic 3) but other than that the car is in pretty good shape. it has had a recent tune-up (plugs/wires/fuel system cleaner) about 3k miles ago. other than an occaisional high idle (2000 rpms) it runs beautifuly.

it is all stock except for a 16G turbo. stock boost level.

Here is the deal...after just wanting to get rid of the car because of other things my teacher is selling her 98 5-speed AWD talon with 115,000 on the clock for about 2 grand. The car was ideling at the bank one day and the balance shaft belt broke and caused the timing belt to jump. It bent all the intake valves and damaged the pistons. The block is fine, the car itself looks great and its got a brand new t25 turbo with about 15,000 on it, the whole car is completely stock. Here is a pic I took one random day of it when it was up and running. I'm not looking to spend more than 1500 am I? I can talk her down on the price to probably 1,700.

Reman'd 1st gen head, Throttle body, manifold. (Done right, NO CEL's)

magnecore wires

dejon tool i/c piping

new OEM mounts and all new gaskets, etc used for rebuild with receipts.

ISC/FIAV and EGR block-off

EVOIII 16g clipped and ported

FP ported 7cm manifold and 16g install kit

R*SR 80mm downpipe and catback, with 3" hi-flow catco cat. (I just ordered a MR o2 housing)

KYB GR2 shocks and eibach sport springs

Rebuilt trans with new bell housing, SpecII Stage3 clutch and lightened flywheel (MFG. unknown)

Short shifter, again unknown make.

I think that is it. All power options work, sunroof too (No leaks) i retained a/c and cruise control, although i am lacking one a/c line to get it working.

Its in perfect running shape right now, i haven't really been in it, waiting on a tune with 550's and an AFC...for now.

So this girl who married my wifes brother has a 93 Eclipse FWD N/A. She asked me if I'd be interested in it. It will require an ECM as the girl is so dumb that she let someone buy it from her without knowing exactly what it was. She told me to make her an offer on her set price of $200. It has a rebuilt transmission and the engine sounds and runs well. The paint on the car is slowly fading away but the glass is good. The car is not wrecked but will need an inner tie-rod. Is this car worth $200 ?? I doubt I'd keep it, probably junk it, part it out, or sell it off if I did get it.

Man you cant go wrong for 250 bucks. You could part out the tranny and engine for more than that so you're set from the get go. It might even be worth it to get it running and in near-safety condition and sell it for $1500.

Sorry was confused, the price is $200. My wife called and double checked for me. I think I just might see if she'll take $175 as I have to drive an hour to go get it and bring it back on my car-dolly. It kind of sucks too as I just sold a rebuilt ECM. I could probably sell off the motor this week if I got it pulled, parted it out, and junked the shell . Just been a wet, rainy week here to be able to do anything.

So this guy is selling this 96 eclipse gs spyder for 1000obo

Its a clean title. I am still waiting on him to get the vin number. There is bondo on the front bumper so I suspect the car might have been in a crash. The car has I believe 130,xxx miles on it.


He says the car runs rough, needs some body work, a paint job, and a replacement roof.
I was thinking I can offer 600 or 700 for it.. but is it worth even that?


He took out the sound system and he will be taking the rims off. He was asking 1700 originally.
