Right now I have RRE's UICP and extended TB elbow installed on my car which enables the piping to be routed to the stock SMIC. I've found myself in an ordeal, though. Seeing how most front mount intercooler kits come with their own piping I don't want to waste all that money and have to sell the UICP I got for a real good deal.

I heard that the Spearco cores are pretty good and have nice airflow. Are they the bar and plate design?

So how could I do this? Which core should I get and how hard would it be to get custom piping to have it route back to the stock SMIC position? To whoever has done this please link to a write up or just post it here.

Also, how much money am I looking at to spend here on the piping alone (not including the core.) Thanks for the help. :thumb: :dsm:

Here are some pics of my piping. I can't find a pic of the inlet piping. Basically, I used a J pipe coming off the turbo, and then a bend that ran parallel to the radiator, and then a 180* bend to get around the radiator to the intercooler. I had to ditch the foglights, and I also ditched the AC fan because I don't use AC and it made the engine bay alot cleaner

Also, in the third pic the inlet piping did not actually hang down like that, that was before I mounted it to the frame to hold it tight :thumb:

How much did the piping cost you and where'd you take it to be bent?
