but wouldnt the head studs make sure that the head and block seal nice and tight and wont lift?

Not the stock headstuds. It'll lift above 20psi from what I have heard. Your mileage may vary but 20psi is a safe guideline.Originally posted by larryd

Like I have said, there is really no reason to run metal HG especially if the block is not decked. There is no guarantee it will seal well. The stock composite will fix the problem if the block & head is not totally flat.
IMO, If something were to break when detonation happens. I would be cheaper to do the HG than something else.
