Thats right, The Mistress (yea i neamed my car who cares
) is finally back on the road after 9 months of getting pissed off...stressed out...being let down and taking the timing belt off 5 or 6 times atleast (thats being modest
) Im very happy with it, but it does have some more little problems with it but those are just little things. I got TONS of good info here on tuners and other websites and i thank everyone here who helped out and all who gave me very good advice and to all who have posted great pics for the oil relief valve mod when doing the BSE kit.
some of the mods/stock stuff that was done:
-BSE kit
-all new gaskets
-new stock CV joints
-New ball joints in the driver side
-various replaced bolts (for looks, mainly on the Timing cover)
-New harmonic balancer
-eliminated EGR and emmisions
-replumbed the power steering fluid to the stock trans. cooler (there was an aftermarket one already on the car when i bought it)
-new oil pressure gauge
-ARP rod bolts and head studs
-New piston rings with the stock pistons
-new but used A/C compressor
-MLS head gasket
-newly painted valve cover (red with silver lettering), exhaust manifold heat shield (black) , and water pipe and water neck (that bolts to the head) (silver to match the stock finish) all for looks of course.
-rebuilt head (replaced one burnt valve nothing big)
- and LOTS of new vaccuum tubes and new replumbing and just lots of headaches but it got DONE!!!
Im sure im missing a lot of other stuff but im sure you guys
Theres more coming in the future but rfor right now this car is good as it sits
Thanx again to everyone for all the info!
