Thats right, The Mistress (yea i neamed my car who cares LOL) is finally back on the road after 9 months of getting pissed off...stressed out...being let down and taking the timing belt off 5 or 6 times atleast (thats being modest LOL) Im very happy with it, but it does have some more little problems with it but those are just little things. I got TONS of good info here on tuners and other websites and i thank everyone here who helped out and all who gave me very good advice and to all who have posted great pics for the oil relief valve mod when doing the BSE kit.

some of the mods/stock stuff that was done:
-BSE kit
-all new gaskets
-new stock CV joints
-New ball joints in the driver side
-various replaced bolts (for looks, mainly on the Timing cover)
-New harmonic balancer
-eliminated EGR and emmisions
-replumbed the power steering fluid to the stock trans. cooler (there was an aftermarket one already on the car when i bought it)
-new oil pressure gauge
-ARP rod bolts and head studs
-New piston rings with the stock pistons
-new but used A/C compressor
-MLS head gasket
-newly painted valve cover (red with silver lettering), exhaust manifold heat shield (black) , and water pipe and water neck (that bolts to the head) (silver to match the stock finish) all for looks of course.
-rebuilt head (replaced one burnt valve nothing big)
- and LOTS of new vaccuum tubes and new replumbing and just lots of headaches but it got DONE!!! LOL
Im sure im missing a lot of other stuff but im sure you guys

Theres more coming in the future but rfor right now this car is good as it sits LOL Thanx again to everyone for all the info!

Congrats man. I just got rod knock so I'm going to be starting my build. I'm going to be doing pretty much what you did minus suspension.

Hey thanks a lot!

Well since im getting to the end on my payments on the car, and i plan on keeping it long term (atleast thats the plan i guess) i just wanted to fix as much stuff as i could get my hands on and just sit down and take care of all the little details. Everyone was asking me how come i didnt go with forged internals and i just said...its the details that makes the complete picture. I did the ARP bolts for a reason, i did the MLS HG for a reason and i did everything for a reason and for me putting in forged internals and all that, wouldnt be good for me at this point and time. I just took an educated path how i wanted to do things and i turned out pretty damn good actually. Surprisingly, it was really that expensive to do a rebuild in my opinion, its quality not quantity. :thumb: But there are still some little problems that i have but in time...i`ll work them out.

congrats on the rebuild man. im in the middle of my rebuild on my 92 GSX and its taking forever. one snapped piston ring put me back 3 weeks....its not fun. but its getting there. i got a list of new parts and trust me, im just as excited as you are with yours. i havent even gotten to drive mine yet. bought it, engine was crap, and its been sitting for 3 months in the middle of a rebuild. and its excitement from people like you and all DSMtuners that keeps me going. i also agree, VERY expensive, but well worth it. hpe you like the build man, good luck with working the rest of the small bugs out.
