That must be some real power you are making! You have almost a month now, get to work.

I wasn't even pushing the car. I was just driving normal down the highway and it started making horrible noices. I'm still not sure whats exactly wrong with it. I'm just guessing its the trans because its been giving signs of going out the past couple months. Gives me an excuse to get a shep stage 4 :) if it is the trans.

How did that happen...? Blow an IC pipe and drive on it? Is it giving the tell tale whine and smoke.

Well, my story of torture to my t25:

When I bought the car it had boost leaks, which I didn't know about because of my inexperience of turbo cars. They were small, and actually not that bad at all, but I drove on that for about 1-2 months. Fixed it.

Then one day my ic pipe blew completely off and I drove it 30 mph from seguin to san antonio. I boosted barely for about 20 seconds total the whole trip. It probably put some damage to the turbo. No shaft play after the trip though.

Then I put on a fmic and had boost leaks, these were decent sized boost leaks that made me hit fuel cut at about 14psi. I drove like this for about 2-3 weeks. This probably shortend the life of the turbo.

After all of the above, the turbo was still very tight and no shaft play.

2 nights ago I went to my parents house to fix all boost leaks once and for all. I got to the house after an hour drive, and then I opened my hood, and sprinkled water from a water hose onto my head shield, turbo, and downpipe to cool it off so I can work on it. ROFL. I fixed all boost leaks, made a bitchin cold air intake tube, and made some runs.

This car pulled harder than I've ever felt it pull after I was done. I was feeling good, then on the way home back to SA I punched it and heard sound that was a mix of a crack, and an ic pipe blowing off. Followed by a puff of black smoke. I pulled over, looked at the ic/pipes, and they were all tight. I decided to turn back around to my parents house, and investigate. I could not hear the turbo at all period, and could not get above 0 psi.

Turbo does not spool up anymore, and sometimes I can hear the hotside scrap every so slightly.

Funny thing:No white smoke, no shaft play. The Compressor side spins freely! Although when I rev it in neutral, smoke does come out of the downpipe/hot side part of the car very very faintly.

OK so change of plans AGAIN!

Since so many ppl from other forums were having trouble with the date change, we decided to still have it Sept 20th and after Hooters just go to the local Meets in San Antonio.

Sorry for the mix up guys! But for those still coming out, Thanks for sticking with us!!

I'm grandma driving my car now to save the trans. Hopefully this "800hp" florida evo that is here in SA that I read about in the other thread comes........

Ahhh the beauty of word-a-mouth racing....I honestly have no clue where this 800whp BS came from LOL. I'm one of the people who realize there's a huge amount that has to be done to attain this level of power besides just slapping on a big turbo.

Granted I'll have the Evo tuned for max HP on race gas, but I highly doubt I'll be using that map on the streets. The pump gas/meth injection map will yield plenty of power for others to handle. In all my previous videos on streetfire my runs were done on a bone stock motor(except for cams), stock ecu/maf and with the Precision GT3082R turbo...which C-King if you're still using according to your profile, was one heck of a turbo and I had lots of fun with it. But this new turbo setup will highly outpower it and provide me with more suitable power curves. We have since swapped that turbo kit over to my friend's Evo.

But you know, we'll see..the car is more than capable of making the numbers/trap speeds I have in mind, but on the other hand it might not...so until it all comes togethor how it should, I won't speculate...there's no need to fear the Black Evo from FL.....just yet

Name's Jorge BTW, I support Buschur Racing big time because they are the standard when it comes to 4G63 modification and I look forward to meeting other Mitsu owners.

Oh hell add me to the list of troubled DSMs - Again. Just when I thought my GSX was running relatively problem free I found a pool of oil under the car. This is a serious leak judging from the pool of oil left behind after a very short trip. I will attempt to get under the car today for an inspection.

Maybe all of us San Antonio peeps can use all of our cars together to make one running worry free DSM.

I'll be at hooters, but probably not the cough*ricer*cough meets in San Antonio. I'll be going to the track at midnight madness if anybody else wants to come.

I think I have seen your car before out at the biff's meets. I'm usually with my friend who has the red supra, or were in my car which is a ugly tan colored 1g. I look forward to meeting you and seeing your finished project.

Cool....yea, you have an aftermarket intake manifold right, roll with the dude in the lightning as well. I'll be back out at Biff's once it's on the road for sure. Later. Didn't you have a 3076 turbo on it?

The guy with the lightning is the same guy who has the supra. That was his daily driver, he just sold it. I have had the FP3052 for a while. Its pretty much a gt3076r. I regret not going bigger, I know I'm gonna max it out when I go to dyno tune in a couple weeks. That is if the damn car is running. ROFL

Good deal...yea..to the OP...you should consider keeping the meet for the rescheduled date of the 27th..then ride out to midnight madness. Then we'll have a bunch of freshly tuned Evos go out there and have Dynoflash Al come too.

Sorry, its going to be the 20th for sure. TOooo many ppl started complaining so decided to just leave it for 20th.

However we can setup a small meet the 27th for midnight madnes. I know ill definelty be going along with a few others to midnight madness and if other ppl wanna meet up and cruise out, that would be great.

OK. So ive been having trouble filling in a time gap. We originally planned to leave Hooters at 8pm for Midnight Madness, and seeing as how the local meets dont usually start till after 10pm, we would just be sitting around scratching our heads from 8-10pm soo.....

One of the members off the 3000gt forums came up with a great idea. Instead of just having the meet at Hooters, why not make it a full day event and Hit up the New Braunfels water park, Schlitterbahn as well (which is a HUGE waterpark).
Schlitterbahn is open from 10am-7pm
General Admissions is $37.99

We could push the Hooters meet to 6 or 7pm and meet at Schlitterbahn in the morning. Now i know alot of out of town people are already stretching their dollars so theres also the idea of Tubing!Which is ALOT cheaper and in the same area. I believe tube rentals are about $5-$10 a tube.

If you guys think this is a good idea, give me some feedback so i can make a final decision. New Braunfels is about 20 Min away from the Hooters Meet and from those coming in from Houston/Dallas, it would be on the way

I thought the purpose of a meet was to hang out, check out cars, and shoot the sh**.

Instead of Schlitterbahn or tubing, why not bbq at a park or something? Of course, there is the issue of money for food and getting a pit big enough. Oh, and finding someone to cook.

Tubing probably isn't all that great right now with the little rainfall during the summer. And if I go to Schlitterbahn, I would not want to be around any of you unless you're in line with me. :p No offense of course. Not to mention, I wouldn't bring the car so it can sit in a parking lot all day without me around it. She needs me! ROFL

I'm probably gonna be out, depending on the final plans. I'll just check out the Saturday night meet locally and hopefully take some revenge on a certain Stang! I might try to go to the midnight madness as I do want to get a few passes in...for fun.

WTF. Get the shit together. I thought the hole plan was to go to hooters, eat, talk shit for 2 hours, and then go have some good clean fun at the track. My vote is no for anything else period.

I thought the purpose...

Your car will break :p

Your car's slow :p

ROFL jk like i said its not a final decision its just an idea. i have sooo many ppl :tease: bi*ching like girls about the first change that when you try to make ppl happy they only complain more..

Fact of the matter is, if you dont like the idea of not going to the track.. well im sorry they changed to date of midnight madness.. its beyond my reach

The entire concept of a meet is to what? HANG out with other car ppl. DUh were still going to show off our cars, thats what hooters is for?? :toobad: Plus i doubt everyone is going to do both tubing and hooters, its not the point, its just to stretch the day out even furthur. We've done the whole bbq/cruise thing.. we're just trying to change it up.. you can always just go to hooters only.. im only expecting the out of town ppl and some 3000gt ppl to show up for tubing :D

If you have suggestions lets hear em because its still open Hooters will definety happen regardless, as for other stuff to do. unless someone comes with an idea to make 40+ ppl on the list happy then this is the best we got

Yea either way not everybody is going to be happy about the change no matter what we end up doing.....but like Richard keeps repeating, this was not our fault. The date of Midnight Madness was changed to the 27th, it's not like we just decided to change it for X reason. Main purpose of this is just to get out there and meet more people, we can always plan another big meet in a couple of months......

On another note, Amber from Forced Performance is planning a meet in Dallas and I told her I would get some people from down here to show up. For anybody interested here is the thread she started (Date is November 2nd):
Dallas DSM Group Photo Meet - evolutionm.net

Your car will break :p

That is exactly why I leave it half broken, to confuse her.

I say just leave Hooter's as THE meet and stretch the time there. If Dallas/Houston/wherever people show up have someone in SA willing to meet up with them and have something planned for them. They can roll to Hooter's whenever.

I don't think you're gonna make everyone happy due to the rescheduled midnight madness. I say, just substitute SA street meets for midnight madness. If they can't understand this is out of your control, then you weren't going to make them happy to begin with.

For those that want to go to Midnight Madness...start another thread! I would of liked to make 1 trip, but thanks to San Antonio Raceway that isn't happening.

Well well. I find myself staring at the computer yet again. But this time with a little more fire under my ass. I will be there. I am no one special. Just a mitsu lover. I here you fellow dsmers with either broke, almost broken, or flat out down rides trying to get ready for a meet that seems to actually have a decent turnout. You have all these other car clubs that make it to there meets either with a car or just in person. I understand that things happen. Stuff comes up. Or you win the lottery and buy your dream car(the one where money is no object). We need to unite. We don't all have to agree on, racing, street racing, strip racing, auto crossing, show car, etc. We all do agree on the the eagle - mitsu vehicles. The plan was to come out. Meet, greet, and chill. Although no track now. We can still do the meet. Our cars are everywhere and no where. Lets actually hang for once. I'm tired of seeing the mustangs, civics, and especially the supras enjoy all the fun. Please come hang. And if that's it then that's it. We have to build on one to get to the next. It would be so awesome to have a great turnout for this meet. Then in November, man......can you just imagine the cruise to Dallas. It will be like the supras when they have there meets. Come support the car lover in our group. Hope to see you all there. Peace.
