I have 1 lifter tapping and I am attempting to locate which one it is without having to pull down half my engine. I have my valve cover off and am trying different things to see if I can tell which one is bad. I have a general idea of what area it is, but I would rather see if I can tell exactly which one. The lifters are all Top Line revised lifters which are not supposed to tap. Like I said, it is ONLY 1 lifter. I have replacement ones on hand now. Any ideas on how to find which one is the culprit?

It seems I have answered my own question. I rotated the engine till the cam lobe was straight up then took a long flat head screwdriver and used the cam as the pivot point and pressed down on the top of the rocker arm where the lifter sits. The one that I found to be bad easily collapsed under any pressure. When I removed the lifter, I could easily compess the lifter by hand unlike others that I had already pulled. Hope this helps for anyone else who may have this issue.
