Bad lifter.

Ok, so i have this loud ticking noise coming from my valve cover between 1500-3300 rpm, and stops after about 7-8 minutes. I have done some research and im almost positive its a bad lifter. Unfortunately i wont have the money to replace them all for a few weeks. Will it hurt anything if i keep driving with it ticking?

Does it only do it on first start up? Has the car been ran out of oil at all? Usually a collapsed lifter won't stop clacking even after warming up the car.

sounds like you have a lifter bleeding down. it does do it on first start up correct

It most likely your lifter that ticking since it goes away after the car warm up. And to answer your question it won't hurt anything.

I have a bad lifter in my talon and it dosent stop claking even after the car warms up, it might be a lifter bleeder.
