Here's my question. I have currently a 3" dp and cat back with a 2.5" test pipe on the 90 gsx. Issue is this i've had a exhaust leak from this from the two bolt flanges were they meet from the size difference. Now that it's cold you can hear it alot more and I hate it. When I was ordering part this summer I couldnt find a 3" test pipe in the budget and went with the 2.5" test pipe.
I'm currently still not able to find a 3" test pipe in the price range I'd like but can find then in a 03 evo8.
What I'm wonder is if the evo8 test pipe will bolt into the 90 gsx setup. Mainly given the way the flanges are offset. In the pictures they looks close and like it might work. Just wonding other thoughts on this and or were you've gotten your 3" test pipe from. As it needs to look like a cat or resinator basically to pass the visual state inspection. Thanks!!!

Why not just get a cat eliminating DP and sell the DP you have? Thats one less potential exhaust leak.

Yeah that wont happen. I need something that looks like a cat for visual inspections. Plus i just baught and put all this stuff on a couple months ago.

I'm trying to get a buddy with his evo8 to come over so i can check his out.

I take it that the megan racing test pipe for $70 is too much?? Do you have any friends that can weld, or if you can weld? You can usually find 3" flanges on ebay and such and then measure the pipe length you need and go buy the 3" pipe from an exhaust shop and then take your stock cat, cut the heat shields off and fab them up around the one you made so it looks like a cat with heat shields.
