Are these interchangeable?

My motor was built by someone else and they used MD308086.
I'm about to replace it and would like to know if it makes a difference?
If not, I'll just stick with what's in there now.

Yeah that's the problem. I have no idea what the build date of the motor I have is.... it was swapped in.

The motor was built by a party I don't want to name. I'm replacing the timing belt so I'd like to do the tensioner preemptively.

Makes sense.
I would stick with the same tensioner that is in it. The one tensioner was only for 3 months in 95, would say you are safer going with the same one you have in it.
