At idle i notice my car is a tiny hair under halfway on the temp gauge. Last night while driving i noticed that the gauge drops a little and goes back up. I replaced the t-stat about 3 months ago and also recently changed the coolant. What other things should i look at.

well think about it, at idle stopped all that heat is in your engine bay and no air flowing through the radiator, when your driving of course it gonna drop cause the air is running though the radiator and cooling the bay the heat dont stay.

may need to look at the temp sensor if you think its malfunctioning.
