Temp gauge issue! what is it?

My friend just bought 1g eclipse. Since he got it the temp gauge will shoot right up to Hot when you take off. In better words, when you start it, it will go to the middle, then right when you take off it will peg to hot and then it will fluctuate while driving. Is this just a temp gauge problem? He has changed the thermostat, fan sensor, and one other sensor. What do you all think

Is it full of water/coolant? I'm assuming you've done all the simple things first:

1) Make sure it has water/coolant in it, and is full.

2) Bleed the system, let it run with the radiator fill cap off until the engine is up to temperature (at idle, not moving, duh)

This same thing happened in my car when the voltage regulator in the alt went bad. The temp needle would go up with rpms. I ended up having a couple bad grounds that caused the voltage regulator to go bad.

maybe your cts, mine does soemthing similar it goes up at idle when im at a light and when i give it gas it goes back down.
