temp gauge does not work, it hasn't worked since I bought the car

My temp guage does not work, it hasn't worked since I bought the car so I was wondering what I could do to fix it? My car overheats so it would be nice to have it working.

replace your temp sensor and if that doesnt work the guage in your dash is done.

Check your wiring connnector to the temp sensor. If it isn't corroded, try replacing the sensor. If you know someone with the same car, try borrowing his cluster to see if your cluster is still good.

Get an aftermarket gauge that has a new sender unit with it. Electric gauges are usually more accurate than mechanical gauges.

Goto the junk yard and get the temp sensor and gauge from one of the cars. Only costs a couple bucks.

yea my temp gauge doesnt work either i replaced the 2 lower sencers where the coolant goes i need to get the temp gauge sencer from a dealership
