tdo5 20g/ tdo6 20g?

i was looking at buying a td05 20g, and i found a tdo6 20g are they the same wheels and center section? im asking because i have a few tdo5 housings 16g 14b, and i found a tdo6 20g and want to make a tdo5 20g with it, so basically are they the same wheels?

well i finally got mine back on the road. and i think you can put a 20g wheel in a 16g housing, ive read about someone on here doing it before

i nkow you can make a tdo5 20g but im not sure if the wheels are the same

The center sections are the same,but a TDO6 20g has a bigger exhaust wheel,you also need to get a machined housing if you get the TDO6 20g

Tdo5h/o6/o6h refer to turbine wheels from smaller to larger. You cant put a tdo5h turbine housing on a tdo6 wheel without having it machined for the larger turbine. 20gs can be found with tdo5/o6/o6h turbines and it is necessary to have the appropriate exhaust housing or have the tdo5 machined for the larger tdo6/6h wheels. Also beware that the 14b housing is most likely 6cm and not 7cm that 16g and up are. This will choke the death out of the topend.
But yeah a 20g compressor wheel is the same for any 20g, its in the turbines where the difference is tdo5/6/6h. The tdo5h turbine cant really flow enough to match the 20g at high boost levels 23+

True, but the REAL 20G's consist of "TD06" cold sides. The Sleeper 16G / Bastard 20G is a 20G compressor wheel in a TD05H compressor cover, rightfully earning it the name "TD05H 20G".

When I decribe a 20G I describe it according to it's turbine wheel, as stated above. A 20G is probably the most confusing turbo to describe to someone. There are so many wheel combinations available that you almost have to pull the housings and measure to be sure you're getting what you pay for.
