Sorry if this has been covered before but i have been looking for the trim of a td05 20g for a good little while and found nothing. Anyone know what it is?

Does it really matter? The trim is nothing more than the ratio between the inducer and exducer. It has nothing to do with performance, etc.

It matters because its something I want to know. Whether or not you think it is an important fact to know is irrelevant. I didnt ask if anyone thought the trim matters or not, I simply asked is anyone knew what the trim on a td05 20g was. If you cannot answer the question please stop cluttering the thread. Thanks.

I remember reading somewhere that they are 46 or 49 trim... can't remember which it was. Sorry. :(

If I find the thread i'll link it.

I stated that because so many base their power expectations off of the trim of a turbo. Trim has nothing to do with size at all.

And with an attitude like that, dont expect anyone to spoon feed you. Search or find the inducer and exducer size, do the math, and figure it out for yourself.:hmm:

Im not gonna continue arguing with you. I couldnt find the inducer or exducer size, and was just curious bout the trim. I was already aware that the trim doesnt reflect the power capabilities or flow numbers of the turbo. I was just curious.

Here's my thread on how to calculate Trim size:
http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/turbo-system-tech/309790-16g-50-trim.html

And here's VFAQ's site that shows the 20g's dimensions:
Visual Frequently Answered Questions - Home Page

With those you should be able to calculate it yourself.

And BTW, it's not a 48 trim....

Thanks for the correction. I wasn't actually saying that as a fact. I just heard it somewhere. And yes I know that hearsay is not allowed on the forums :)

So a 20G is a 59 / 60 trim?

Thanks,

Tom

According to my calculations it's a 59.65 trim or 60trim if you want to round up.

Then again so is my Small 16g...
