Tar on my tire

I was driving home form work and i got a huge chunk of tar stuck to my tire. When i got home i scraped a good amount off, but there is still some on there and my car shakes a little, anybody have any methods for getting it off?

"Scrub" the tires like nascar drivers. Go to an empty parking lot or an empty road and turn left a little, then right, then left, then right(Like weaving through cones)

It should come off a new tire fairly easily- there's still a good bit of mold release and fresh solvents in the surface rubber itself. Don't try using a solvent of any sort. If you want to get nuts about it, get some bamboo skewers from the grocery store, pull the wheel off and spend an hour cleaning its teeth.
Or, just let the tire clean itself over the next fifty miles.
