Tan or black 2G leather?

Heres my New Black and my OLD Tan. I know I will dig the black more once the car is all set up on the exterior.

My taste changes a lot, but if I was to go with luxury I'll pick tan. If I wanted to pick up some girls I'd stick with black on black.

Haha luxury! Our DSM and their plastic interiors are anything but luxurious.

I can say however, probably for as long as Im able to work on cars there will be a DSM in my vehicel collection. Still, you gotta upgrade sometime.

You'd be suprised, most dsm's are beat up and seeing a nice clean tan interior is a taste of luxury to me. No cadillac but not bad for a 10 year old car.

If you want luxury, gotta go with the leather dash!

Ill give you that, I cannot stand a messy/nasty interior. If you check my pics on the previous page you will see how nice I keep mine. They are always like that.

I have friends with 3 weeks of fast food, old cloths, bottles, cups and grime....you name it, just nasty shit and I HATE riding in their cars.

ok im done.

Wow, that is absultely amazing. If my car was a DD, I'd really consider doing something similar to that, but I just can't justify the price tag on a car I only take to the track or out on weekends.

But I definately give props for the effort, I never thought there would be anything better than an OEM black dash.

There it is, kahl23's interior is the perfect example of a "custom" interior that actually works. He makes that blue color accent color work and the leather dash well is amazing. He's a good example of "custom" interior that turned out good on a 2g, that isn't just a 99 full black leather swap, or just replacing seats.

Notice he has the door panels from a 95 (maybe on also on a 96) with the larger pocket. When moving from my 98 gst to 95 gsx, that was one of those nice little things.

edit, makes sense he has a 95.

my 2 cents
I have had a gray and a tan interior. IMO the seats are a wash, both look good, but here in the south tan makes more cents. They just don't get as hot as the black in the sun. However, I hate the tan carpet! It gets dirty and looks like shxx!
Tan seats with a black carpet looks pretty good......

I still never understood why my 97 GS auto had black leather seats, black dash, center console, and black door inserts. Everything else was tan...

The black seats are what sold me on the car cause i never saw a 97 GS with black leather seats before.

I have little pockets too. Those big ones would be nice, you could actually put things in them.

Interesting, and you have an "Eclipse". I have 2 95 GSXs, both have the big pockets. All with the perforated leather seats. My 98 GS-T had the small pockets, other 97-99s GST/GSX i've ran across also have the small pockets. My 95s are earlier build date I wonder if that matters.

Add another one to the DSM mysteries.
