2g GSX Black Leather Interior

Black Leather was an option in 99 GSTs, GSXs and the OZ Edition from 99 only, just an option, it was not guaranteed. Maybe a few years ago they were easier to come by, but now that this all black interior craze has started, good luck finding a set and then even more luck on convincing the person to sell them. My buddy has a 99 GSX with the black interior, he actually gets offers out of the blue to sell them, though, he like others with black interior, is not interested in selling.

just to ad a tip, try looking for totaled OZ 99s...most of em ive come across have been girls who totaled their cars, insurance wont pay what they would like for it, and they try parting.

I got mine this way, 300 for every single piece of interior i could pull.

Hey now don't hate on girl drivers.....

I got pulled over yesterday for no front plate LOL. Doesn't the cop understand it interferes with my front mount :p

I love my all black leather interior. Picked mine up for 250 and then turned around and picked the car it came out of up for 150. Guess I got paid out of the deal.. And yes the car it came out of was a 99 gst.

I would just have aftermarket leather put on it. Most seats you will buy at this point will be cracked. I know the factory and the Diamond symbol on it but that could be put on after words. Just my thoughts.

I found OEM black leather seats, front and back, for $150. He had the middle reupholstered in red, so I'm looking to trade for all black, but it works for now.

And I completed my all-black interior swap (with the exception of those damn seatbelts, LOL) :)

I did the same thing and found a totaled 99 that I pulled full black interior. Dash and rear bumper from. Cheapest way to go

For those of you trying to convert the whole interior, if you can't find black seat belts (just like me) try dying your original ones. That's what I'm planning. I know DSMs never had black sun visors or head liners so I'm dying those too. I dyed the visors on my previous DSM and they turned out decent. Just a thought...

Im gonna just have the leather redone in black and the have the eagle symbol embroidered in red on the head rests to match the color of my talon. I think it will look sick.

I wanted to do tan leather with black interior pieces. but apparently im the only one who thinks that would look real good.

Are you kidding? I absolutely LOVE my tan/black interior. I like it much better than the black interior. I think if you went with tan/black interior and embroidered the eagle logo in black on the headrest would be the bee's knees.

How could one not like this?
