Hi fellow dsm peeps.I had a 1989 conquest 17 yrs ago. Been a ford v8 guy since. I bought a1990 talon lst december aand learning a lot. It has 660 injectors,272 cams.ck 20 turbo at 25lbs boost. Idles like crap but runs down rd like I never seen before from an 8cyl. Huge intercooler, hks wastegate n bov. Someone did a lot of work but still needs tuning.had a vein controller in trunk but won't run at all with It hooked up. Ecm v3 I think. Any suggestions ,comments appreciated, possible hp estimates

Don't knock me on this cause u don't know where ecu is located on 1g but don't think ecmlink will be at the trunk. Ecmlink is program and chip inside your ecu. Either dash or in engine bay. The Plug cable connects to your obd.
1. Find ecu and determine if it has link.
2. Idle could be boost leak. Do blt
Check spark plugs,wire,ignition,but you said only at idle check timing.
You got cams and they idle differently from stock.
3. You can always ask previous owner some question where the answers give you more insight of what your car has and done tuning wise. Congrads on the car welcome.to dsm.
Worst that can happen is him not answering your call or messages. Just give him a heads up that you got some question for future reference and not trying return the car.
