yesterday, i crashed my talon. unfortunately, since i have no collision, im either going to have to fix it myself, or get a new car. im wondering what everyone here thinks there is as far as frame damage? speed limit was 55, i was doing 60, estimate 40mph at impact

cosmetically, the front bumper, headlights, hood, and both airbags are shot. fenders look saveable

hit a mazda 3. maybe 2006 ish. didnt see a red light, hit her right rear tire

Can't see much. But as long as everything still works, I would say you're lucky. Good luck

dsm's are pretty solid in the front end, it should be a easy fix pending the rails are straight

went to look at the car in the day time.. i had already sourced and priced out a new core support, radiator, and passenger fender hoping that would be all
(i still have a front bumper, hood, both airbags, ds fender, and both headlights)

welll it turns out i seriously bent the frame rails. they were about 2.5 " over towards the passenger side... so.. no more talon :,(

Part it out and get a turbo model. Blessing in disguise ;)

its already gone. and ive got a 4g63 awd avenger as my project car.

and the project log

Venge 2.0t AWD now with super rare parts - ASEClub

wiring harnesses still need to be done, rear end still needs to be pulled out of the donor talon, and a LOT of rust repair needs to be done... plus.. like i said, im unhappy with the engine bay, so i need to pull the motor and trans and redo that. got a lotta work ahead of me. it'll be awesome when its done though...

ah pictures are nearly black... update daytime pictures please

You know most phones have a flash on them right? I can't see dick in the pics..

I don't think they were that kinda pics, ;-) LOL. Anyway if the frame is off and the air bags are deployed then yup its a part out. Time and labor on a frame straightening machine is pretty expensive. And it will never be the same as before.

dont feel bad (points at avatar pic), my laser got crashed up worse, id be dead or in a wheel chair if the laser didnt have a 6 point cage. i hit a red bull delivery truck that thought it was a good idea to park his truck at the end of a 1 lane highway on ramp to get out and watch a tow truck pull a car out of a ditch when the roads were kinda icy.

pics of the avenger

what came out
