Holding up fine so far. It hasn't gotten any yellower than it was on day one. Thanks to the liberal layer of clearcoat. I am going to do another tail with crystal clear epoxy to hopefully match the professional carbon better. Plus paint the tail first so the colors don't shine through in the high spots.

Hey if you want a deeper looking part I suggest using a clear gel coat before you lay down the carbon. You will have to be careful though if you are using epoxy with it since gel coats are usualy polyester and it will react with some expoy resins. We have done it tons of time but we always to a test part first to see if it will work or if it is going to just delaminate. If you are going this route spray the gel coat into the mold and let it set up for at least 4 hours but would be better to wait a full day before laying the carbon into the part and putting on the resin. When you pull the part wetsand it with some 1000 and then 1500 and buff it up and it will look very deep. Another tip is to paint the back of the carbon part black and any tiny clear holes will be covered up and won't show your paint through it.
