taking tranny off engine

ok, i got the engine out of my 90 talon, now im trying to take off the manual transmission transfer case, i have all the bolts off, and there is about an 8th of an inch gap all the way around but i cant get it off, is there some trick or something special i need to know to get it off? thnx for any help.

You'll probably have to CAREFULLY pry it off w/a prybar.

Mine hung up initially when I went to take the tranny off the engine. It turned out to be the flywheel and clutch hanging up on the bellhousing. I simply wedged a board under the tranny to take the weight off it and then popped it off with a large screwdriver. Just be careful like ICGerms says and you won't have any problem.

if its awd take off the transfer case. It gets caught on the fly wheel this happen to my freind at the junkyard if its fwd do what DAUNTLESS said
