Take a look at this turbo please

Is this a good turbo? Is it legit? Has anybody seen for sale at a reputable dsm store?

that looks to be legit. but then again anything on ebay you have to be really careful before buying. it says garrett on the turbo so i think it looks good. just dont buy one that says turbocharger where the brand name goes. i know people that have bought cheap turbos and left good feedback and everything seemed ok for about a year and then the turbo just blew a seal and threw the shaft and bent all the blades.

the hot side looks a little funky... maybe it has been painted in the past... also in the description he says its "BRAND NEW" but the Threads are Messed up???? how does that work? if you feel like taking the gamble, its not to bad buy it now for $400... thats a pretty beafy turbo for $400 "BRAND NEW" ...i wouldn't do it... its half price for a reason, and it cant be because of the stripped threads, you can rent a tap and fix that for next to nothing from advanced auto parts... sounds fishy to me.

Well thanks a lot guys, it kinda looks fishy to me too then he says that he doesn't know anything about that turbo but he does have the reciptWTF
