I needed to move the talon up the road since my attempt at a roll start failed (bad starter probably). Plan was to hook the tow strap up to the MR2 (irony here for those who know how I did the motor swap into the MR2) and back it up and park it again. There is no tow hook under the rear of the vehicle so I put the strap around this brace. I had used it before I thought, so I figured things would be fine. NEWB! Here is the end result.

Check out the rear wheel alignment now. Can you say crabbing much?

I should be able to head to the scrap yard to get that piece for pretty cheap, but I am not sure exactly if that will fix the alignment yet. I figured I would let you guys laugh at my stupidity.

i figured I would make you guys feel better about mistakes you have made working on cars.

Junk yard will probably want $100-150 for the axle, and a new lateral rod from Mitsubishi is only about $40. Maybe the junk-yard will just give you the lateral with the axle; it's one less screw for them to take off.

DSM Graveyard wants $100, with the lateral, it looks like.

Haha, sorry man. I did the same thing about 8 years ago. Had to go to the dealer and got raped for a fortune. It's an easy fix though and should cost too much. Good luck!

It's just a panhard bar, it can't cost much and it should be easy to put on.

No, I will be getting one from a local DSM guy for $20 bucks, and yes, it will be easy to replace.

Really though, that is the tag from the tow strap apparently. I left it there for effect. Not sure how it is sticking there, but whatever.
