I decided I will get a T3/T4 50 trim setup from AGP... I was wondering on a few questions.

1. What size injectors should I run? (with a 255 lph fuel pump)
2. How many PSI should it be turned to without built internals?
3. How many PSI with built internals?

IMHO these are some quick answers without probing 1st for more info.

660-680 injectors. Assuming you dont have the means/need to cope with 720s yet.
Daily driving on pump w/ stock internals, 20psi is a nice solid number.
You guys get 94 octane up there? Could prolly go a tad higher.

What psi with a built motor?...im not gonna touch that one.

If you have a 95, then odds are you have an eprom ecu. I would look into getting a dsmlink and then get some 720s. 20psi should not be a problem so long as you get it tuned for 93 octane pumpgas.

Thank you... that was great.... Yeah I was wondering would 550 sufice... but I guess not... I looked at the RRE chart but it said nothing about the internals... So I guess on stock internals don't go above 20 PSI.... Thanks...

I will prob only run like 15 anyways... atleast till i get my engine rebuilt with forged pistons and rods. Your answer was awesome and exactly what I needed.

Unfortunately in the last month they have tightened up the law up here and Octane 94 is no longer available... so I will be running on 93. In case that changes your answer at all..

Thanks a Lot,

stock internals can go 24 psi even. 550s are probably too small. For 15 psi or so I'd say 550s are fine, but any more than that and you better do at least 650.

I'd go with the 660's and DSMLink.

And you'll be fine on stock internals. There's plenty of people on here with 50 trims and stock internals. Just get it tuned for 22-23 psi, because any less and that turbo will be out of its efficiency range.

I was able to squeeze 373whp out of 550s(hahn 625s), a 255 and an L2R. However, the duty cycle was unquestionably unreal. I would say, go as large as your fuel control will allow. An SAFC can handle 650s. Anything larger is really pushing it, and you will quickly find, you are unable to lean them out enough. I run FIC 780s with a MAFT and SAFC. Being able to run large injectors effectively will lower duty cycles keeping timing up and fuel cut far away. At this level, I run 30psi with a GT40 and have not had fuel cut once.

You sure? Because there is a reason they call the 50 Trim the 'Pump Gas King' ... and most people can't tune for 22-23 psi on pump when it's 93 octane, let alone the 91 octane that we get here on the west coast.

Anyhow, 20 psi is great for pump, and take it to about 24 psi on race gas. As for injectors, 660 will do but if you are buying new injectors go 720s or bigger to allow for more boost for the built engine.

Thanks,

720's are doable but MOST people don't need anything more than 660s. I know someone with 720s and an AFC and while his car is fast (11.70's@124) he CONSTANTLY runs C-16 in it to keep his car from detonating. The leaning out a car with an AFC or similar device raises the timing, which you don't want on pump gas.

I have 660's on my car with a 50 trim and to be honest I have yet to get the car to run right. my motor is fubar so that has a lot to do with it. at 14 psi the turbo felt pretty strong, yet slower to spool than I think it should have and i got knock in the upper RPM's unless I ran way rich. I had to run the car VERY rich in order to suppress the knock. My car is a piece of shit though, YMMV.

i had 550s with safc running only 15psi (decided to go bigger)

with the 50trim

speaking of that i have a slightly used one forsale if interested

PM if you want it

Yes, I agree... you're gonna heat soak that small dinky side mount

Too much timing plus too much boost = detonation on pumpgas. Unless you have a real means to log knock (not just timing advance) its a bad idea imo.
