About the only thing you'll tell anyone is that you're from Mass.
what's this have to do with anything, your profile isn't filled out either, so your point was???
so I'm going to assume you'll be at the DSM Shootout at Englishtown in April. If so, I'd be more than happy to give you a run for your money. ?

With any luck I'll be there, I just hope you're bringing more than a 50 trim....;)

EDIT: What's with that quick delete of your post? Change your mind about racing?

Don't worry about me...

I love friendly competition....

Uhh yeah, my thread implies that I'm not trying to hide anything. You on the other hand remind me of everyone with a honda that has I/E/H in a 75 mile radius of me. Do you care to share what kind of monster you have under there?

Me too....

Sorry for going OT folks, anyway...so I contribute to the thread

IMHO I believe 50 trim is the best comp wheel you can buy for a street driven car. It's effecient over 25 psi and has put over 400hp to the wheels on pump gas....

BTW underground, you have a PM....

To all who has knowledge about these turbos:

I was wondering if the t3/t4 50 trim stage III with .63 A/R housing came in a ball bearing option?

I searched on the net...
found a ball bearing t3/t4 50 trim stage III with .48 A/R housing
http://web.tampabay.rr.com/tealtalon/
I tried to make contact with him but haven't been successful.
Anyone know him? Is he a locale on this board?

I am planning to get a 50 trim version as well but didn't like the idea of .63 A/R housing taking 4k to fully spool at 25psi. So maybe the ball bearing would help it out a lot...say 3500 or less for full spool. Or should I just get a .48 A/R housing? Any and all insights are appreciated.

That's impressive. My friend Dave ran an 11.6 at Englishtown last season with a Green and quite a few other parts. 9:1 pistons and WEBB cams, as well as a VPC. He ran that on pump gas at about 18 psi.
I don't regret the 50 trim Garrett turbo on it's way here, but I'm not sure if it will fall short of a Green. Not in terms of spool, but top end and horsepower. If anyone knows a bit about the specifics and numbers of those turbos, or where I could find them, I'm interested in the differences between the exhaust wheels and housings of either turbo.

How did your friend run 11.6 with 18psi on pump gas? What was the '60, '330 and what does the car weight? What was the mph? That's got be the fast time with the least amount of boost on pump gas that I've ever heard of.

When Curt Brown was runnnig 11.6 with his green he was running at least 25psi on C16.

You can get just about any turbo with a ball bearing option. It will more than likely cost an additional $700 bucks. If 25lbs of boost by 4k is too laggy for you I would suggest rethinking making big power on a 2L 4 cylinder.

According to him, he was at 18 pounds. The only run I got there in time to see was him running 11.8... It's a 91 GSX I think. Completely gutted. No nothing in the car accept a roll cage and some gauges and piggybacks. I have a clip of the run that I taped on my hard drive... Contact me on AIM if you'd like to see.

Just imagine though having the car hit full boost below 3500 and have the top end pull the 50trim does with NO lag at all between shifts :)

Hey I have an even better idea. How about having all the top end power of a 60-1 plus some with full boost at the same 3500? Oh wait.... I am building that car right now :p

I believe that this is the fastest t3/t4 time, 10.91@ 131mph. I know it's not .50 trim, it's .54....There is a video of it on Automotosports.com

In reality turbo selection should not be based on who has gone the absolute fastest with the turbo in question. Full garret 50, and hybrid 50's have put countless well prepped cars in the mid 11's. lets be realistic, are you really going to run 11.2's-11 flats? pic a vender you trust a get either a full garret or bolt on hybrid.

That is exactly the type of feedback I was looking for. Full boost under 3500 with the power of 50trim. Just wanted some more insights on it.

My 50 trim kit will be going on in a month. I can tell you more then. They are saying 20 psi by 3600, so we will see. I'm curious to see if this turbo can get in the 10's with stock head, cams and intake!
