T25 Turbo spool faster

T25's aren't that good, they just wont work past 5k rpms.

T25 spools already in 2.5k rpms, how faster do you want it ?

Do you have any supporting mods? Basically opening up your airflow path will make the turbo spool faster. Get an intake, new ic pipes, bov, port the exhaust mani., turbo & O2 sensor housing, new downpipe with test pipe or HF cat & a cat back. With all that done my t25 spooled 16 psi at 2400 rpms or maybe even lower. Basically it spooled instantly :sneaky: :D

I don't get the idea of getting a T25 to spool faster... At the end it wont work past 5k rpms WTF

anyway, check dsmtimes.com ( or org im not sure ) and check out the fastest times on T25...

Wont be that great :nono:

is there anyway to modify the T25 Eclipse stock turbo for it to spool faster

Basically freeing up your exhaust will net you faster spool. Like already mentioned above, port your manifold, turbine housing, O2 housing and upgraded exhaust after that. If you can afford some downtime start porting, it's free power and you'll gain much knowledge which can become useful when you upgrade to a bigger turbo later.

how about 13.5's,,, thats a wee bit better than your posted timeslip.

Why do you want you spool faster? do you drive a lot in the 2200rpm range, and don't like waiting till 2500 or so for it to kick in? Do you not like waiting for it coming from driving at really low rpms like 1300 or 1500 or so? Do you not like waiting that half a second if you are at the proiper rpms?

What exactly do you mean?

Lower rpm

Basic upgrades like a better UIP, better CBV/bov, better exhaust will all help, but if you think you will ever get full boost sub 2k and have a turbo big enough to do you any good you might be shooting for the unachievable... even a t25 trades up top flow for good low rpm response, and mine spools if I am above the critical rpm in less than half a second

Quicker presurization once at speed... hard pipes and no huge FMICS that add additional volume increasing "spool time" in that way.

i ported my big16g and o2 housing to hell and it spools right at 2k and hits full boost by 3k. so the only think i can suggest is to port the o2 housing. i wouldnt suggest porting the t25 my friend ported his and a few weeks later it started to crack on him...

Last person I heard complain about turbo lag on a T25 had major boost leaks and cracked exhaust manifold. Just a thought.

Get an intake, 3" turbo-back, and a new bov, and you will disgust the T25, those are the only things i have right now, and im spiking at 21psi by 3200, the T25 is thw worst, leave it alone and get something bigger.
