t25 spiking to 22 psi then droppping out at 15-26 psi

ok not really sure where to begin on this one. Car is a 1997 tsi fwd auto. Well under boost she will spike up 22psiWTF. Then kinda flat out at around 15-16 psi around there not to sure will see tommarow. Not really sure what it could be boost leak ? maybe if so i know noob question but i have never done a boost leak before so i could use a write up or some adivce.Hell it might be somthing else then a leak but i know a stock t25 shouldnt hit that high . mods are basic tublar manifold cold air bov. Thats it stock smic and ic piping. Note also did this on a greddy fmic as well so i am kinda at a lose here tuners .... ### someone help me on this i want to get it so boost properly and SAFELY. So someone please please shed some golden light. On this thanks !

Check to make sure the line running to the wastegate isn't torn or disconnected. If it is and your wastegate isn't opening, you will get what is happening to you.

Are you running the stock boost control setup or a MBC?

no mbc as of right now and i dont think my lines to my wastegate is messed up .But i can look tomarrow and double check you think my waste gate is the problem. Stuck open or closed.? If so how would i remedy it thanks thought guys !

As mentioned it could be one of the lines between the bcs and the wastegate, but what really caught my attention was how awesome it would be if a t-25 could hold 15-16psi till redline!

I would be carfull running the t-25 that long at boost levels over 16-18. That thing won't last to long that way and you will start smoking and need a rebuild or upgrade.

Stock boost control solenoid is frozen...bypass the BCS by running a line directly from the compressor cover to the wastegate actuator to confirm this.

Yeah a t25 spiking to 22psi is definitely not good . I would also do a boost leak test. Just to check.

Oh, but it can! All you need to do is take your measure of boost right after the turbo and shove a gerbil in the IC piping.

Why I would think of shoving a gerbil into a small pipe is beyond me....

Try running a new line from your compressor housing to the wastegate. Just something that you could try. Try boost leak test and check to see if you have any exhaust leaks.

i can safely assume i have leaks all over more then likey. car has 112k so leaks are very possiable. I will try new lines to it more then likey a mbc should really help. Doesnt it just bypass the seilond?
