well i just bought a remanned t25 with 02 housing from a guy and i am having a cutom manifold made for my wifes foucs 2.0l zetec motor she doesnt need anything big just a lil pep to the slow 130 flywheel hp and 135 flywheel lb ft tq motor so i figured this would be the way to go any idea as to how fast her car could get with the t25 she has a 2.5 in exhaust and a 70 mm cobra mafs i am looking to run 8 psi daily 10-12 ocasionally ... thanks for any comments and help

I am a member on focus fanatics board and i have gotten no help from them i know the head flows a lot diff on a 4g63 then a zetec but they are both 2.0L and the zetec starts out as 130flywheel hp and 135 flywheel tq so with a t25 i am hoping to put out about 200 whp at 10 psi

So what is your question?

Pipe it, bolt it, get fuel mods, tune it, drive it. Very simple when looked at like that.

Your car is way lighter than ours...you can't really compare times with any of us.

Did you mean you "have not gotten ANY help from them?"

Sorry, it was just as obvious as a boost leak

No I have not gotten any help on the focus forums it is my wifes car and i am only looking for it to be a low 14 sec car being it weighs 600lbs less then a dsm that is like half a sec she isnt goin gto be taking it to the strip often just a daily driver with some pep

well i own a 2000 zx3 and everytime i have questions about my supercharger i use focaljet.com it is the best site available. go to forums then forced induction. oh by the way i am a newbie, i just purchased a 1995 gst from some old man for $2000 it has 115,000 mainly freeway miles

They make turbo kits already for the Focus. Its easier to buy a kit and bolt it up.

Jose

I know that they make kits for the focus but they are all 3500 with i/c and and come with a t25 so i have the knowledge to install it. and i have all the parts but injectors i was just wondering how much hp that the t25 is capable of on a 2.0l motor was basically what i was getting at. I have all the parts and have paid less then 1500 for all of it but engine management so even if i drop 1000 into a standalone or somethign of the sorts i am still 1000 up on the turbo kit manufacturers

yeah i know the 4g63 is much more stout on the bottem end then the zetec motor is remember the focus is 600 lbs lighter and a 9.6:1 c/r i am only hoping to squeeze 180-200whp out of it

The problem will be the stock compression which will be much higher. i doubt you will be able to run more then 5-6 psi withoug some more expensive upgrades.

However the higher the compression the more power you make with the same volume of air. so that 6 psi on 10:1? is the same as 10 psi on the 8.5:1. You need to find out all this info.

Also the t25's wastegate is probably set to 12 psi (stock) so you will need an adjustive wastegate actuator or put a new spring in it.

but of course i don't have a focus and know very little about them. This is all just stuff you may need to look at before you strap it on and blow something. ;)

I too owned a 2002 focus ZX3, I wanted to turbocharge it also. It was my understanding that it is very easy to blow these engines up without proper fuel management. This is just my advice so don't take it the wrong way or get upset. I would use the focus as an everyday driver and buy a 1g dsm with the money that you were planning to spend on the turbo kit. Another alternative would be to buy the Jackson supercharger for like $2400, that's a complete kit and it puts out decent #'s for the price. If you are bound to turbo your focus please do the research first to keep from destroying your engine.
