Hey everyone,
I have a rather stupid question and im sure i will get flamed for it but i`ll ask it anyways LOL Im on a rather small budget here for my 14b install into my 2g. I was wondering if the coolant lines and the oil feed line will work with my 14b? Now i have a SS feed line already running from the filter ousing already so im ok there i guess. I want to put this turbo on by the end of this month. (due to a test and tune day at the track thats coming up and im excited LOL) Now ive looked at most of the websites that i know of that sells install kits for the 14b/16g and they are kinda pricey. Ive tried to do a little research on this here on tuners but i didnt find anything. I know for a fact you can reuse your coolant lines on a 16g turbo so im guessing you can do so also on a 14b? The J-pipe im sure i can find somewhere online and most of the gaskets i can find at the auto parts store too, so what else could i reuse from my t25 hardware wise? Im going to the junkyards here in Tampa to see if i can find anything worth using. Any advice would be great. Thanks !!

Yeah definitely don't bother with an install kit. You should be good with that SS feed line. You will need a 1g oil return line, and is most likely not going to be long enough. So what you do is hack out the flex section and put a piece of hose on there instead. The coolant lines are fine, you might have to buy some radiator hose to reach the lines on the turbo, but that's like $2. I see you have a front mount, I'm not sure what'll happen with your LICP. I had to fab a new one to my SMIC.

The 1g oil return line is long enough, but the bolt holes on the turbo side flange have to be drilled little closer together to get the bolts in straight into the turbo. Get a 14b/165 oil return line gasket from a vendor or dealer and port the bolt holes to match.

The hard metal coolant lines get swapped (front to back and vice-versa), then bend or tweak them to fit. As 95redturboawd mentioned, you MAY have to use some longer hose to fit, but make sure the hose isn't stretched or pulling against the hard lines; that will cause a tear faster than you think (experience talking here). Also, it's a good idea to use new copper crush washers. These can probably be found at your local auto parts store for a few bucks. Remember, two washers per coolant line.

Do yourself a favor and get new bolts and washers from the dealer or vendor. The washers have little nubs or depressions on them; two washers per bolt and the smooth sides of the washers face each other. Torque to specifications.

just did my evo316g swap yesterday. the only line you will need is the ss oil feed as stated. you can just drill the holes closer on your t25 oil drain tube, or use a 1g oil return line and call it a day. the trick to the 1g return line is, install it on the oil pan first, then bolt it to the turbo.(it would help a ton if while your bolting it to the turbo, to not have the turbo bolted to the exhaust manifold..atleat thats what i did.) good luck, and it wasnt bad of an install at all..;)
