What did you use to cap off the stock coolant line?

I just looped the lines with some heater hose.

Hey, did you have to get a welded 90 to put on it? Do you need a welded 90 on the 50 trim for a fmic?

I didn't weld anything, I'll post up a picture of how I ran my IC piping, but I basically got a 2" to 2.5" transition 90* elbow and got creative from there. :thumb:

where are you feeding the oil from? from from which parts of the oil housing? or are you using a sandwich plate?
my 47 trim just went into the shitter. i'm hoping theres warranty on this damn thing.

I'm deciding on whether or not the Bullseye TO4B V-trim is a good turbo to upgrade to or not. I was looking at the SBR G50 turbo, but the people have been saying full boost isn't reached until at least 4,000rpm. They wre running around 20psi. Is the lag on the v-trim really bad? I drive mainly in the city and sometimes the highway. Is it streetable or should I stick with the evoIII 16g until I can afford a better one? Didn't mean to hijack the OP's thread, but I do want to ask the OP these questions and same to other T04B v-trim owners. Thanks for the help!

Well I'm not too sure what the diffrences are between the Vtrim and the 50trim, but I rather do enjoy this turbo alot.
With an unported O2 housing, and 6cm manifold, it spools at about 3150-3200, reaching full 15 psi @ 3900-4000.

I rather enjoy this late boost because on the t25 it was like boost in every gear at really low rpm and no boost top end.... on the 50trim, you're ass is in the seat all the way to 7500rpm with the FP2 cams... ask away if you have anymore questions.:thumb:

Oh, and just in case you dont have one..get a 3 inch exhaust and downpipe..leve the silencer out,and this turbo rocks

Edit: someone asked an oilfeed question.. i used to feed my v-trim from the oilfilter housing.. inow am feeding it from the head, i got a perfect oilfeed line from extreme psi for under 40$

edit2: my car uses less fuel on the v-trim than it did with the t25..full boost just under 4k rpm -- its fun watching the other guy floor it, go past you..then boom, your flying past.. :) (autobahn cruising isnt street racing)

Edit 3. this thing screams all the way to 7500 with the BC 272s (but it ran almost as good with the stock cams too..so)

And eboy0, i did the excat same thing with my overflow bootle LOL.

Nice to hear. I'm in the process of upgrading from a T25 to a V-Trim with BC 272's. I especially like the fact that it used less fuel :). Cheers.

Well I don't really know if it uses "less" fuel, I just know you're out of boost more often since it doesn't spool so early. But once you want like 20 psi+ you upgrade the fuel pump and injectors and it kind of goes back to gas whore.

Just an update if anyone cares, turbo now has a good 1200-1500 miles on it. No out of the ordinary shaftplay, absolutely no in an out. I guess the turbo timer set to 1 min is working :)

Sadly I still haven't been able to turn up the boost to my liking due to a hit and run...
But I was able to spin all 4 tires are one point in 2nd gear launching off a light, scared the shit out of me but yah, this turbo for the price that I got it, I couldn't have asked for anything else.

I wonder how your turbo can perform well at 15 psi, my PTE 57trim is like crap under 18psi. It drives or seems just as much power when I had my T-25 at 17 psi. But anything over 20 psi, me as the driver can feel the 5k pull and also 6k-7k final pulls. I wonder if my e-chip is tune correctly????

Looks good other than the missing turbo to manifold bolt and the manifold to head stud. What did you use to clean all that gunk off the main coolant line behind the manifold? I noticed that in the first picture yours looks like mine and in the next picture is was clean. I was thining simple green and about 15 rolls of paper towels. :p

I took care of the bolt issue, I ordered the SBR cast replacement and it included bolts, also I helicoiled the head stud. I got rid of the gunk with some engine restore and a wire brush.:thumb:
