Hey crew, i plan on making some trips to tampa to see a special someone... its about maybe 1hr 30 min drive...the only things thats holdng me back is my t-belt snapping on me in freeway...=/. I allready have some money set aside for a t-belt kit. but for now i really wanna see this person, so i took some pics of my belt so any pros out there can tell me if im good for these trips..the belt looks fairly new, its even lined up with the lil white marks in the pic..It even has groove patterns under the belt like its new..The teeth on the gear feels smooth... but im a dumbass to this so i hardly dont know anything about the belts condition it has 145xxx miles...And my last question is Prostreet Online only has a kit for the turbo 1g's...=/ is this kit also for my motor?..its a 2.0 dohc thanks alot for your time...=DDDDD

Those pictures suck, can't really make anything out! I would think that if it's not cracked, then don't worry about it...it's only a 90 minute or so drive...not that big of a deal...

yea what can u expect from 20 dollar camera...LOL. i dont blame you..yea theres no cracks on it, im jsu being paranoid i guess, thanks for the help..=D

No problem. Just keep an eye on that belt, and if you ever start to notice cracks, then replace it ASAP. I would not worry about it at all and have fun in Tampa. :thumb:

ha haha..too bad you cant keep an eye on the belt..all you will see is a car slowing down to an eminent refusal to start.... 145K+ miles on a TB is way too much..change it while you are ontop ma man.

1.) Belt life seldom has anything to do with how it looks, unless you get into absured examples.

2.) Timing belts more often die at startup, shutdown, or idle. Most of the shock loading is reduced at speed.

3.) If the belt has 60,000 miles on it, worry.

4.) The belt isn't really what we want pictures of, duh.
