How can you easily tell the difference between a T-25 and an FP big T-28 just by looking at it? I plan on buying the FP big T-28 soon and i don't feel like getting shafted and overpaying for a T-25.

If you don't feel like getting shafted then don't buy a used turbo. Buy one from a reputable company. Try looking through the parts catalog.

Well it's from a member of dsmtuners and he has alot of references. I just wanted to know ways to spot the differences for my own personal reassurance.

From the outside, you can't tell. The number of blades on a T25, T28 and Big T28 are different. I did some research on it and posted on one of my posts about the T28 if you want to look for it.

Found your post and it was a big help, thanks man.

Check out slowboy they have very reasonable prices on their turbos. They even have a remanufactured t28 for around $600

Here is the info if anyone else is looking for it.

There are visual differences:
1) T25 turbine wheel has 11 blades, T28 turbine wheel has 10 blades and BigT28 turbine wheel has 9 blades.
2) T28 has dual fin compressor, while the T25 has single fin compressor.

The T28 and BigT28 has T28 turbine wheels stuffed in the T25 compressor cover.
The T28 Killer has Big 16G compressor wheel and special made Garrett compressor cover.

Big T28s are sold by Forced Performance, AGP Turbo, Slowboy Racing and other vendors. T28Killer is sold by turbochargers.com.

If Im not mistaking that wheel has 12 blades?? well I bought a used t-28 and I know it has a "dual" blade style and my t-2small had a single blade design, I am assuming its just a
regular t-28 because its identical to the t-25 except for the dual blades, looks like a rebuilt t-25. correct me if Im wrong
