symptoms of ECU going bad?

Has anyone ever had problems with ECU. If yes, what symptoms did the DSM show. what measures did you take and if did you fix the problem. I've been told my ECU could be the cause of my car stalling. I replaced Idle Air Control Motor(new) and car ran fine for 30 minutes. When car was turned off and when i tried to turned it back on, it stalled again. Please help me. I put 2 threads already about this problem but no one has replyed. Any feedback will be appreciated. TIA

Do you hear any clicking behind your dashboard? The stalling could be caused by the ECU. Do you have any other symptoms? For the hell of it, take your ECU out, open it up and look for any signs of damage, stuff that looks like its been burned...and smell around. A bad ECU will smell like fish. If the caps are leaking, you have no choice to either get it cleaned professionally, and have them put new caps in, or find another ECU idential to yours. The 1g's are notorious for their ECU issues.
