I've searched around in the forums already and people discribed screeching noises and not what im experiencing. ONLY while turning left and like halfway to maximum turning radius, a weird kind of swooshing sound, think of a kid pumping his bike tire up with a bike tire pump, comes from the passenger wheel. And it increases frequency as I speed up. (This is in a Walmart parking lot at like 10-25mph). I jacked the car up and tried wiggling the wheel but no avail. Looked at the VC joint boots and they look ok, no tears or anything. And looked at all the ball joints, the tie rod boot is splitting a bit but like only 1/4 way around the boot. Someone told me that my CV joints are going bad but I thought he was just BSing so I checked out the boots but they look fine, can they still fail without the boots going bad? Also when I turn all the way, both ways, theres a groaning sound.

Any guesses anyone?

I am not for sure what could be causing the noise while you are turning but it could either be the wheel bearing or the CV joint (probably not the joint though, they usually have a pretty audible click to them when they are going out)

The noise that are you are hearing when you turn the wheel all the way to one side or the other is the power steering pump. A lot of cars do that including mine. If you every happen to come across a 91ish Ford Ranger listen to it. They are horrible, that was my first car and I always got picked on because it sounded like the motor was trying to crawl out of the truck everytime that I turned the wheel. Thank god that thing is gone, red with red interior, 4 cylinder, manual, standard cab, manual windows/locks (bottom of the line in other words)

There is a pad that attach's to the back of some brake pads with adhesive and goes between that and the piston in the caliper so that it doesn't make noise or squeak or something and i have see the brakes get hot enough and then makes that adhesive soft and that piece or thing steel drops and rubs on the hub of the brake disk and will make a swoosh sound. Take a look this is just a possibility. The way to fix it is take that piece off and discard it. Good luck.

Yhea I have some Auto-Zone ceramics, and there were some metal backings between the piston and pads on the old pads that I didn't think was needed so I left it out. Plus the new ones already had some shiny metal backing riveted to the pad already. I'll check it out and see though, thats a good suggestion though. I'll check it out. Keep the tips comming

thanks alot
just a guess, but mabie the dust shield on the back of the rotor? try bending it back some.
Yhea while I was changing my pads today, and I looked at it and it was bent onto the rotor so I just bent it back and now the sound is gone. And I just got used to the sound of it LOL.
