Edmonton,
Heres what I'm doing, I have a 92 tsi awd AT and a 91 tsi awd mt. The 92 is my project car, just becuase I don't like the flip ups. The 92 is not going to be a daily driver, it's going to be my fun car, but it does not have the AT in it, no fun. My question is besides the tranny and all that goes with it, is there any thing else that I would have to use off the 91 MT car to switch my 92 to MT (ie ecu and things like that).

I'm not worried about the bigger turbo on the MT car becuase my plans are for a 20g or a 50 trim and FMIC

Also will the MT handle 400+hp, and what could I do to make it handle it, remember I live in Canada and I want to do all the work myself besides the tuning:talon:

No you don't need the ecu. If you do then you need the injectors AND the fuel pressure regulator. ALL the actions of the auto tranny are controlled by the TCU which can be completely taken out after the swap. Here is a great page that helped me in my swap:

Even though this is a FWD, the concept is still the same and besides the t-case and rear end, it is all the same. If i remember correctly, you will need the t-case and the rear ends swapped because the ratios are different. Good luck.:thumb:

i switched mine from at mt and i think the hardest part was the pedals once you get past that everything else is not to bad at least thats my opinion

I thought the pedals were pretty easy. You will need a hole saw or two if I remember right.

The front at axles worked with my mt.
