So here's a situation I've thought of and need confirmation since I really don't know what to search for. I have a 2GA GSX, and a 2GB GST Spyder. My spyder is going to be turned into a track car and the GSX will be a DD. My spyder has a 6 bolt swap and the GSX is still 7 bolt. I thought about putting the GSX ecu into my spyder since it has the higher speed limiter. If I do this, I will need to convert all the wiring for the cam and crank sensors right? So that the ECU would still be reading sensor data as a '96 engine instead of a '97?
I've done several 6 bolt swaps into 2G cars, both 2GA and 2GB and I'm very familiar with the cam and crank sensor setup on both. I'm only asking this because of the sensor differences between the 2.
I suppose what I'm asking, is if I did this (haven't decided yet), would I need to treat the 6 bolt in my spyder as though it was a 2GA car?
Edit: was looking through something that reminded me, it's a 6 bolt short block with a 2G '97 head.
