Looking to rebuild or uprgrade suspension on my 2g 420a but have had mixed reviews on the 1a auto suspension kit and haven’t seem to find any good sources for the rebuild Can anyone leave a review on the 1a auto kit or point me in the right direction plssss ??

If you want alignments to be easy go with OEM replacement struts and lowering springs. Aftermarket flat top struts with coilovers will cause the camber to be out of wack. If I'm not wrong 1A Auto is an Ebay brand? You're better off buying better name brand parts. The cheaper springs can settle overtime and don't have guaranteed spring rates. If any are still in stock Megan Racing makes a set of lowering springs.

didnt think my first post would get a response so quick thank you ! Do you recommend any other brands? I heard moog is pretty good I wanted to do upper & lower control arms , inner & outer tie rods , sway bar \ end links along with new hubs and rear suspension etc etc . I also wanted to skip the springs and buy Megan coil overs I’ve heard good things about those since they’re adjustable ?

Also worth noting that the stock ball joint recall kits are still out there. These you get the front knuckle and lower arms for $170 a side. Just throwing it out there. I saw you mentioned replacing the front bearings. My axle shafts were so rotted I just pulled the whole front knuckle, wheel bearing and axle as a whole and replaced it. I was also putting on evo brembos using galant knuckles so I had no intention on saving the stock knuckles.

I wasn't sure if you were referring to the the entire suspension system or just the strut assembly. Moog and Proforge make some good parts. Those are the main 2 brands I run, also some Beck Arnley parts mixed in. If you're looking for higher performance consider shopping for polyurethane bushings, Energy Suspension and Torque Solutions make good ones.

what the hell are flat top struts
Maybe they're called flat base, not sure. Basically where the bottom of the spring sits on the strut, the strut conforms to the shape of the spring. On some aftermarket struts this area is completely flat. This way you can run coilover sleeves without bending and scraping them to hell. See this picture for why you need "flat tops" or "flat base" or whatever. This is when I was running Tokico struts on the front with Eibach adjustable sleeves. I had to buy new sleeves to replace the damaged ones, and then source the flatty struts. Which were VERY hard to find by the way, I searched for a few months.

You can see where some of the threads higher up on the sleeve got rubbed off by the spring. It's because of the shape of the strut. A strut with a flat area for the sleeve to sit on fixes this issue.

Yeah I was more so talking about all the other suspension components I was already planning on getting coil overs but that’s for the recommendation
