Suspension springs

Hello All,
I have a question I hope some one could help me with. My brother in New York has a 2000 Eclipse and keeps bottoming out. He replaced all the struts and his car continues to bottom out. My father thinks maybe there is something wrong with his springs. I dont seem to thinks so, I believe he got a bad set of struts. Anyway, I pulled out a set of springs from a 97 Eclipse RS. Will these springs fit on my brothers 2000?

No they will not fit.

Also the struts do not support the car the springs do.with that, does he have stock springs or is he already lowered. need a bit more info.

No, they are stock springs, sorry for the long wait been away for the past couple days. I know that the springs are the main support for the car. I still think he got a bad pair of struts.
