suspension help

Well I have heard a rattling in the rear on my 2g for a while, finely got a chance to take a look at it and found, were the upper control arm bolts to the lower control arm the bushing is busted need some help on were to get a replacement or energy suspension if they make a kit for it... I know they make a rear suspension kit just wasnt sure if this particularly part was include........ Thanks alot......

If the other bushings are okay, I recommend just replacing the broken bushing. Otherwise, the bushing kit is gonna be alot of fun to install.

See thats the thing I would but the bushing is made into the whole lower control arm.........

You gotta use a press and force it out. If its already damaged, it should just fall out. The new one has to get pressed in...at least the last time I checked.

If you go with the kit, that's cool. Just keep in mind, each bushing will have to get pressed out and the new one pressed in. If you got the time and energy, I heard its worth it. It's just if you dont want to swap the bushings out, you really dont have to as long as the rest are in good shape.

I watched my buddy do a rear kit on a FWD. It took him like 6 hours. And he is an experienced mechanic with a press and a buffet of tools. The kit did come with everything you need, including grease...at least his did.

With a bushing in bad repair like that, you can believe that the rubber will fall out. You will still have the metal ring that was pressed into the spindle that the rubber was originally bonded to still in the spindle. You can either use a press or a hack saw to get it out.

I spent 8 hours and did the whole master kit. I get the Prothane kit because the bushings are two piece and you can press them in by hand.

I know when I did my motor mounts and I used a air gun hammer to get it out with no problem I'm not sure if I could do the same with the suspension bushing. Times are rough don't got money for a press haha

Update I installed these my self wasnt to bad, couldnt really press the old bushings out had to take the torch melt the rubber then saw into them a bit and knock them out. Then press the new ones in...
