Supporting mods for E16g, am i forgeting any.

A Friend of my cusion just picked up a 96gst and the first thing i wants to do is install a E16g that he picked up and wanted me to help install it. I told him he needed some supporting mods to run anything higher that the wastegate pressure (to be safe).
The current mods at ricermuffler, K&n, e16g, Slowboy Manual BC, lower ic/j-pipe, upper hard pipe, greddy bov, boost gauge, egt gauge. He will after that get a good deal at a local shop for a full 3in exhaust.

What I told for supporting mods are
A better cluch(act 2600)
SAFCII
at least 680cc
190-255lph pump
Frount mount IC ( I had a Speraco lying around but it got stollen )
Better plugs and wires
Porting the ex mani, and o2 housing
Eprom ecu and chip

Is there anything that I am forgeting.

I don't think you need at least 680cc injectors. The bigger they are, the harder they are to tune on a SAFC and there are alot of guys that run 550s with their Evo3 16g. Not that getting anything bigger than 680's is bad, because it gives you more room for future plans, just don't be worried about them being to small for your Evo3 16g.

I don't think you need at least 680cc injectors. The bigger they are, the harder they are to tune on a SAFC and there are alot of guys that run 550s with their Evo3 16g. Not that getting anything bigger than 680's is bad, because it gives you more room for future plans, just don't be worried about them being to small for your Evo3 16g.

Agreed. Im getting an EVO III Big 16G as we speak and im only goin to be running probably Evo Injectors which are 560's. SAFC will be hard to tune anything bigger than that so if you plan on going bigger just save some money, get DSMLINK, and get big injectors. OR.....you could get big injectors, stick with the SAFC, and get an EPROM and chip from dsmchips.com for around 340 bucks Up to you. Good luck!

From reading about it is seems that the 550's are a little small so we are going to go with 650's. Also we are going to go with a eprom chip anyways, with 650's as the injector size in the chip. It seems like I have all the bases covered on the list except for a LSD, and motor mounts being fwd and all.

Right now with the e16 on we are only boosting to 10psi, entill the exhaust then we will go to 12-13ish. After everything we plan to run up to 20-22psi on pump with 115-120mph traps are the goal.

I dont think you'll need the 2600 if its your daily driver, try using an ACT 2100 if its you DD

A local kid has done 12.3@115 with stock motor, and cams with an AWD on 23psi pump, so i dont see why We cant get it to that level with a fwd that weighs less.

I agree I told him to look at the 2100 with street disk. Because that seem like that better idea as it is a dd.

I dont wanna hi jack but this guy tuned 720's with an afc for a while it kinda confuses me when people say you cant when this guy did and had good results. http://www.roadraceengineering.com/marctech/2000_7.htm its a bout midway on the page 550's vs 720's
