When i bought my GSX the sunroof was busted and doesn't move at all so i purchased a replacement. When i received the new sunroof i noticed a on the sunroof was broken. Part #7 on the sunroof part diagram. It is broken on one side of the tracks. I'm not sure what that part does or how significant it is to the function of the sunroof. I have tried searching but haven't found a key for the diagram or anyone discussing "part 7" on the forums. Just wondering what it is and if ill need to buy another one. If this has been discussed somewhere already i apologize and would appreciate a link to that thread. I can get some better pictures later on today. Also if i posted in the wrong spot i apologize.

Just curious, what makes it broken? Is it separated from the sunroof (that's how it looks) or does it screw on? How does it attach?
Its held on each side with one screw. Its hard to see but if you zoom in on the picture you can see the plastic on the sunroof where the screw holds it in has broken. I was thinking about possibly trying to glue it down, before i did i was curious what it does though.

Like the Wiseman said, use parts from one to fix the other, that's always a great way to fix things ;) If not, you may need to remove it and glue it. But if it were me, I'd add a strip of fiber glass or carbon fiber cloth to the glue for added strength.
