Im saving up to build my talon so far, but still need a bit of guidance. I want to make 400 to the wheel in my talon, but over time I dont expect that to be done this summer.
Maintance I done
All new belts, pulleys, tensioner.
Oil changed every 3k-4k miles full syn
trans fluid/filter
new lines and hoses.
Right now this is what I have on it
K&N airfilter
boost gauge
Wide band (not hooked up)
So I am still almost stock
Here is what I have (in my room not on car)
6bolt head. claimed to be ported polished and only has 700 miles when I bought it, but looked a little to dirty to have only 700 miles.
1g intake mainfold again claimed to be ported and polished with 700 miles (came with head)
3in downpipe with wideband bung welded in
3in catback (with a small section of 2.75 piping)
PR FMIC short rout
Greddy BOV
GM MAF and MAFT
Ceramic coated 2g exhaust manifold
What I am going to do( some time this summer)
New turbo, unsure what to get was looking at 20g to keep stock set up
272 cams
Bigger injectors, not sure what size
255 fuel pump
SS o2 housing with open dump
I am also condering converting to E85, it is regularly available by me.
I plan on keeping my bottom end stock. I read they do fine up to 400.
I am looking for more info on what I can/should do. I am estimating my budget to be around 2000$ by this summer, maybe more If I can grab more hours. Like I said I dont expect all this to be done at once but over time
