finally after over a month and a half and over $2000 invested this, afternoon 7:00 pm i have an official turboed 420a! :rocks: anyone who helped me on this website ill buy you a taco or something. i still have the idle problem but no oil leaks, my turbo is fine, spools fast, no smoke, but im sure if i fix the exhaust leaks, look for exhaust leaks and get my o2 sensor put in my car will run fine.. its also running really rich.. any suggestions?

Well you said you still have to put your O2 sensor in your car so that could by why its running rich. With no O2 sensor, your car will by default dump more fuel that it needs in the engine as a safety precaution. An engine that runs too lien can cause some major problems.

ECU is in limp mode.

well thats gotta be my problem is my 02 sensor huh? when i was drivng today i was getting on it and my tac read like 4000 rpm and it wasnt building boost but my blow off valve still went off whats up with that? i also filled up yesterday drove it for a half hous at the most and im down toa quarter tank.. o2 sensor problem? and waukegan is about a half hour north of chicago..now my car is boosted 15 minutes ha.

About the 4000rpm thing, you weren't full throttle, sometimes you won't be registered under boost, but the turbo will still be pumping more air than a n/a car at that time and moment, so when the throttle is closed that air will still build up and be released.

About the gas, as stated before you're running rich. Rich = extra gas = worse gas milage.

yea i understand im running rich horrible gas mileage i was wondering why would it be running that rich? and is there a solution to do so?

It was already said why, with the o2 sending wacky readings to the ECU, the ECU automatically knows somethin's up. Throwing the car in a limp mode which in turn will cause you to run rich for safety. Since it's much more safe to be rich as opposed to lean of course. :thumb:

Solution: Get downpipe fixed or bung installed in the downpipe. Do whatever you need to do to hook up the o2 sensor.

that makes sense. about the idle, the spark plugs need to be spaced correctly or something like that with a fowler. so that spark plug problem could make it jump and or stutter while im just crusing and have an irregular idle right?
