Sub on stock head unit??

Hi, is it possible to hook up a subwoofer on a stock 1995 double din infiniti head unit? i mean like does it have an aux out or right and left whatvere i need to hook up a sub? i was just wondering before i take out the entire thing to find out theres nothing there to use

if i were u id have a wire go from the head unit to an amp (there should be a "amp output" i forget the name of it) but then from the amp go to the subs

(not a car audio genius but my friends have woofers so i know some)

I doubt that the stock headunit has an AUX out. I am not sure how many speakers the stock infinity system has but you can probably use the rear most speaker connections to feed the speaker level inputs on the amp that will be powering the sub.

Your amp may not have speaker-level inputs (high level). If it does, you can simply run the speaker wires from one speaker or two into those. If your amp doens't have them, you can buy a converter box. It's pretty cheap and easy to hook up. You run the wires from one or two of the speakers to the converter and it converts the signal to low-level (the RCA hookups). You then run the RCA cables from there to the amp. I think they're 15 bucks, or so. Just go to a stereo shop and tell them your dilemma. They'll explain it all. Good luck.

finnallyyyyyyyyyyyy.... a problem i know the answer to. what u need is like the last dude said. a high low converter. dont goto a car audio place tho, check like pep boys and murrays first. car audio places will charge u like 25-30 dollars for it, if u can find one at murrays it will be like 15. u hook all four of the wires to one speaker (id hook it up to a rear speaker) and make sure u hook up both +s and both -s to the same one any other qs on it just send me a message, or if u wanna buy some stuff i can hook u up i have a dba and can get it at cost
