sub eclosure

so i'm wanting to get a custom enclosure for maybe 2 10s that are going in my trunk...i'm just getting the custom job because i want to still have pratical use of my trunk. Do any of you have good experience with those.

and how much would it cost to make one, or does anyone sell ones custom made already.

Almost all custom made sub enclosures are made out of fiberglass, which take up the entire trunk area. You can't expect to have a trunk for "practical use" and have a custom enclosure setup.

There are many companies that sell pre-made carpeted MDF boxes. Look at www.crutchfield.com; www.sounddomain.com, or ebay.com, but then you won't have a custom setup.

yea see i really like zeppelin's example. I thought of those 2 areas for putting subs possibly, but wasn't sure what it would look like.

but that's really smooth looking, minus the alluminum....

how much would something like that run?

oh yea..and how does he get to his taillights?

Here's a picture of a box that I bult for a single 12." It's ported so it's plenty loud, and doesn't take up that much space. Plus I designed it to tuck in just underneath the rear strut bar.

You should definately work on hiding those wires, would make it look much better from a "show car guy" point of view

I have a fiber glass box with 2 10' orions i bought them for $20 from a dude at work.. and i used the back of my backseat as the back of the box.. and just built the box around it.. but thats just an idea i will try and get my pictures up some time soon.
