stupid coil pack

so i bought a used msd coil and it came with the round connection. can i just strip the plug of a 95 or early 96 eclipse and splice it into my wire harness?

I dunno... 95,96's are different from 97+ mostly in the electrical aspect. Fo sample ecu wire pin out... their similar.... just not very well! Ebay it and buy the right thing.

i don't have the time to wait for the other coil to get here. i know you can't buy the 95 coil pack anymore.(except aftermarket). i put a new coil pack on a friends 95 and had to get an adaptor to splice into the harness. it had the same wires so my guess is that a harness from a 95 will splice into my 97 fine. if someone knows about this please let me know. thanks

Yes. Keep the wires going to the same location just use a different connector and the pins in it to match to the coil you have. Also look on 95/96 neons if you have trouble finding a connector.
