Well ive been having problems with my 14b not hitting full boost (27psi) until around 4200 rpms. I figured the turbo was finally shot so i picked up a evo 3 16g but its doing the same shit. Wastegate unplugged builds 18.6psi by 4124rpms. 323 hp / 419 tq @ 4124RPM on link.

Today when i went to leave the shop the head was really loud and i didnt have any power at all, i ended up towing the car home. Im assuming its lifters because ive had this problem before. A spun bearing isnt going to cause me to have 10 inches of vacuum.

Its a built long block with a stock cam.
Compression test: 200 200 205 195

My question is If my lifters suck dick would it cause the spool up to be slow? The actuator seems to be working fine. Ive tried 2 different actuators.

Im completely stumped on this. Its pissing me off! Once the car builds boost it runs freaking awesome.

Leaking oil from the cam seals. The o2 dump and dp are def tight.

It seems like the car is running down a cylinder but the compression is fine... Yesterday i had 21 inches of vacuum and today i was getting 11-12.

timing check out? cam seal oil could have made it slippery enough to jump? oil leaking from cam seals steady enough to allow to much air in through the leak and mess with the head? other than that id say a bad head check valves lifters and cam gears themselves

timings is good but i have to re do it tomorrow when i put these new cam seals in. Im going to throw in a new set of 3g lifters and i hope it fixes all the problems...
